I've been playing with mediawiki a lot recently, and ended up having to roll a quick plugin. There seems to be a bit of interest around this, so here it is. It adds a back to top link next to each edit link on the page...not very complicated. This should be deprecated in the latest versions, as it has a hook already for changing the contents of the edit link section, so that would be cleaner...

OK, so it's not like I update the blog often, but a warning that I am going off for a couple of weeks surfing imminently. Mainly, because I now have this:

So, yesterday brought new imacs, as predicted, but what a thorough disappointment they were for me. OK, the top of the line 24", 2.8Ghz one is fairly sweet, but they basically look like a speed bump.

Makes me want a PSP...

It's a pretty simple thing to do, but there appear to be no howto's anywhere online.

So, I'm eager to get myself a new laptop, since my nice little compaq evo n410c was stolen from me a few weeks back (satisfyingly, sans CD drive and running Linux, so it's hard to believe they could do anything with it...). Most upsettingly, of course, is the great collection of stickers I had built up for the little machine.

Alright, I've given in and gone the whole hog with Twitter. Perhaps it's not the web 2.0 tinnitus I claimed it to be. Still unsure about the real value of it, but willing to give it a try. Follow me here.

Last thursday I got the (very last minute) chance to go and see probably my favouritest group in the whole world perform; The Roots. Although they've slid into more of a guitar vibe than I'm really down with, this was still probably the best concert I've ever been to; the rumors are true, The Roots absolutely pwn live!
